NIKITA KARIZMA STEPS INTO THE LONDON FASHION WEEK SPOTLIGHT WITH SS27 ‘FUTURE NOSTALGIA’ SHOWCASE

The British-Indian designer unveiled her SS27 vision at ME London, marking a new chapter for the celebrity-favourite label

London, September 2026 – British-Indian designer Nikita Karizma unveiled her Spring/Summer 2027 vision during London Fashion Week, presenting Future Nostalgia at The Pyramid at ME London in collaboration with IKIGEN® Collective.

Marking a significant new chapter for the London-based designer, the showcase saw Karizma move from a career built on dressing some of the world’s most recognisable names towards an increasingly ambitious runway proposition, bringing her distinctive approach to glamour, experimentation and cultural storytelling into a live fashion environment.

Titled Future Nostalgia, the presentation explored the tension between past and future, asking how the fashion of today becomes the memory – and vintage – of tomorrow. Built around the idea that “today’s avant-garde becomes tomorrow’s vintage,” the showcase brought together pieces from SS27 alongside selected archival designs, creating a dialogue between the evolution of the Nikita Karizma woman and where the house is heading next.

Set inside The Pyramid, ME London's immersive rooftop space, the collection played against the venue's striking architecture, with metallics, reflective surfaces and sculptural silhouettes creating a futuristic visual language.

The SS27 wardrobe continued Karizma's exploration of the body through fluid draping, high-shine surfaces, chainmail-inspired constructions and close-cut silhouettes. Silver, black, gold and flashes of soft pink moved throughout the presentation, with dresses and separates balancing sensuality with an almost armour-like quality. Sculptural jewellery and accessories complemented the collection, extending the metallic language across the looks. The design proposal combined these new SS27 ideas with archival pieces from the brand.

Beauty extended the futuristic mood, juxtaposing wet-look and sculptural hair with luminous skin, bleached and embellished brows and graphic eye details – creating characters that appeared simultaneously futuristic and strangely familiar.

For Karizma, the presentation also represented the latest chapter in a story deeply connected to both London and South Asian fashion. Born into a British-Indian family with a history in textiles, Karizma's grandfather founded an Indian saree store in London that became embedded within the South Asian community. After studying at London College of Fashion, she built her practice through celebrity dressing and red-carpet fashion before beginning the label's transition towards its next phase as a global fashion house.

Karizma has already developed an international following through her celebrity dressing, with designs worn by Lady Gaga, Paris Hilton, Gwen Stefani, Shay Mitchell, Winnie Harlow, Rita Ora, Jade Thirlwall, Shilpa Shetty and Janhvi Kapoor, spanning music, entertainment and film across the UK, US and India.

The London Fashion Week showcase builds on that foundation while signalling a broader ambition for the label. A British Fashion Council designer member, Karizma has identified Fashion Week as a key part of the house's next chapter, with the brand seeking to create experiences bringing together fashion, art, design and culture.

Alongside its runway ambitions, Nikita Karizma is preparing to open a purpose-built design atelier in 2026, bringing together its design and sewing studios with a showroom, fashion media studio, photography space and make-up area – creating a new physical home for the expanding label.

With Future Nostalgia, Karizma takes her first step into the runway system, bringing together the different worlds that have shaped her career so far: British and Indian culture, celebrity and craftsmanship, red carpet and experimentation, past and future.
